Battle of Waterloo - Move 4

 Table at the start of move 4

Top left – Cooke had deployed his corps either side of Hougoumont
Top right – The British cavalry have moved forward in the centre
Bottom left – Vandamme has started to enter Hougoumont woods
Bottom right – French artillery massed in front of La Haye Sainte

 French Left

Vandamme has moved within skirmish range of Hougoumont
Massed artillery are firing on La Haye Sainte and have caused 30% casualties

 French Right

Drouot has halted his infantry, his artillery have opened fire on La Haye Sainte
Kellerman is moving forward with the heavy cavalry

 British Left

The French are still out of artillery range
Picton in on and behind the hill
Cole is in and behind La Haye Sainte
Uxbridge has brought his cavalry forward between the hill and La Haye.


British Right

Cooke is winning the skirmish fight at Hougoumont
Cole is moving a second brigade into La Haye Sainte to relief the garrison
Clinton has moved forward to support La Haye Sainte
